Swimming in the Texas summertime (in a deep-blue tiled pool only partially shaded from the sun) makes me feel like I am suspended in jell-o. A strange yet glorious feeling.
Diving into a shallow salty swimming pool as a small happykatie at Club Med with my best friend (oh wow, life was good back then…), time stopped and became this cool breezy happy place with tall swimming pools with windows to peek into and watch swimmers float on by.
Floating down hazy golden rivers in beautiful redneck Missouri, trailing my feet in the water and watching the treeline, canoes, fish and turtles lazily drift away – sweet, sweet afternoons communing with smooth water rocks and looking out for water moccasins.
Water makes me think of happy things. That is why I like Eric Zener’s paintings – which is really the whole point of this post.
