Hee hee - ready for the faux-mini Y2K this weekend?
So we've been confused about the 2007 time change thing. I mean, we're hanging out last weekend and our phones and laptops automatically change times (which was weird and random). Obviously we were oblivious.
So now, a week later, we're getting reminded in all sorts of ways of a second time change - getting regularly pinged by parentals, news, radio, emails. How could I have been ignoring this for so long. Thought it was funny to find this USA Today time saving article from back in February saying:
With no fixes, electronic calendars on Microsoft's nearly ubiquitous Windows operating system will send notices an hour late, resulting in missed meetings.
It's not all a crazy-bad thing. The entire idea is to same some energy - man, even the government is Going Green. :) Sort of kind of in a way...
But who knows, this very well might be, as they say, 'Baby Y2K'. Are you quaking in your boots yet? Set you clocks back an hour before you go to sleep, so that won't you won't miss Church (or Sunday brunch/mimosas) tomorrow. Lest anyone think you don't listen to your parentals.
