Today marks the fifth year of being a Schipulite – it's amazing how much can happen in half a decade.
I started as a graphic designer with all star Aaron who told me I could do things and do them awesomely no matter what. Then I moved towards Communications and Marketing land where I now reside – chatting, pitching, loving and promoting a wacky group of Web geeks, designers and programmers.
We got to live what we preached when Ed and I started the Houston chapter of NetSquared after a quick San Francisco trip to meet Mena + Seth:
And met some pretty rad NPO pals:
I had the shortie and had our first official family portraits taken by Ed in the office:
I have gotten to public speak, train, lead workshops and run panels:
It's been quite a ride – half a decade, baby!
Thanks to all of the crew both inside and outside of Schipul for their brains, patient teaching, helpful guidance, funny jokes, smiles during the longest of conference calls and understanding everything. And I do mean everything.
Massive love, also, to our wonderful clients who actually make going to work… not really going to work :) Knowing that my day might intersect with cop car camera dudes (hey Chris!), keepers of red pandas, Children's Museum fanatics, amazing restaurateurs and so, so, so many more — really makes my heart light and my work satisfying.
Here's to another five years – look forward to staying alongside you through it all 🙂
