Look Mom, I’m in an IKEA catalog Personal, Photography, Schipulstory, Totally random - July 30, 2010
Okay, so I'm not really in an IKEA catalog. But I got to pretend at IKEA Houston last week (disclosure: they are a Schipul client) at their 2011 catalog preview party.
If we've ever met, you probably know that I am wickedly passionate about a number of topics / people / places / brands. IKEA is waaaay waaaay up there.
Yes, I also adore great industrial design and handcrafted furniture – but let's keep it real now. A twenty-something's house decorating budget doesn't always lend itself to Eames or even fun Phillip Starck.
Thanks to IKEA for letting me make up the difference in the meantime with clean and functional design. And letting me drink vodka in their store. And putting me in their catalog. Cough.
