happycajun anyone?
I'll be making the quick flight over to New Orleans this weekend, at the invitation of Harrah's New Orleans to take part in their Greatest Weekend Ever. It's been years since I've been to New Orleans, before the hurricane, so this is like a re-introduction of sorts.
Plus we'll be staying in a far more casino-y environment than I have ever been in and will have a little slot machine and black jack time built in to our agenda. So I'm expecting some pretty cool new things with shiny lights and brushes with Lady Luck – I hope to make my favorite poker player thisisnotapril proud.
A good number of the participants in this weekend's NOLA jaunt are foodie and wine bloggers, which feeds in nicely to some of the food-centered topics we'll be discussing and culinary geeks we'll be meeting. For some of the more heavily food-related stuff, you will find photos and stories on my happyeats blog.
Here are my fellow partners in crime for the weekend, Twitter-style:
Disclosure: Harrah's is paying for my airfare and hotel expenses. They are also putting together our weekend's itinerary and providing us with access to key members of the Harrah's team. I am not getting paid any additional income beyond this and am not required to review my experiences.
With the FTC's recently updated guidelines on disclosing testimonials and endorsements to include Bloggers, transparency is more important than ever.
