Sartorially speaking… Fashion - November 19, 2007

Sartorialist

Does anyone else have an unhealthy obsession with The Sartorialist blog

It’s the handiwork of prêt-à-porter devotee Scott Schumann, formerly of Berdorf Goodman, Valentinos and a host of other amazing names in the fashion world.  Today he spends much of his time wrangling his daughter, writing his regular GQ page and traveling the world documenting the good, the bad and the gorgeous that everyday people wear.

I’m a big people person – I love watching how my fellow humans behave on their own, interact with and  present themselves to the world.  It’s why I love Blogging and interacting online – humans are crazy beings!!  Personal fashion has so much to do with all of this craziness and I can think of few finer documentarians of this than Scott.

Just me sharing what puts the ‘happy’ in happykatie…

This is really fascinating, and something I’d like to check out. I agree that personal fashion has a craziness to it, as does so much content on the blogosphere.

I also love the Sartorialist. I get so much inspiration from what real people wear, more so than from fashion magazines. Bits and Bobbins (http://bitsandbobbins.com/)and Painfully Hip (http://painfullyhip.com) are also good blogs about street fashion and fashion remixing.
