Kurt Wenner is a really amazing street artist – not the usual kind that I idolize (spraycan bandit-types), but more of a classicist. Lovely work.
I have a very early memory of a tremendously fat street artist in Antwerpen when I was a wee happykatie. There were a lot of pigeons about (flying rats – I never do forgive the people that feed them) and I was eating some chips with mayo….. and well, that’s it. My memory (long and short-term) has never been very good.
Something I’m really liking today for work/design pics: iStockPhoto. Cool and totally affordable.
Especially swell is the Designer Spotlight section where they feature up and coming designers that use their stock pics. They show exactly what images they use to create each photo montage/layout – which is really helpful.
In news you probably don’t care about – I received 3 pairs of fabulous shoe hand-me-downs from my mom. This is highly unusual as we don’t usually have the same taste at all (I pretty much only wear black Banana Republic clothes, and she likes cute things from Talbots and Coldwater Creek – does that make any sense?).
Turns out she’s been holding out on me – so I’m now the proud wear-er (as I type) of cute pointy-toe kitten-heeled slingbacks. Hurray for you, mom!
