Today was the Knowbility’s AIR Houston Rally Day – a big geek day where teams spend 8 hours building a Web site for a non profit organization. It was a long one, but our Team Tendenci had a good day. Things validated well and I think look just right for our team, although we were lacking some pretty visual/photographic content from our group.
Our Non Profit Organization was Special Kids, Inc. (SKI) – a group dedicated to providing support and education to parents and families of special needs kids. I know, perfect right? I think we gave them a strong start for the site, although Eloy and I have already talked about what we’re going to do for them once we are through the judging process later this month. We can’t touch the site until then and it’s killing me now!!
We’re going to be at SKI’s Christmas party and will be photographing families, staff and kiddos associated with SKI. Then we’re going to add ridiculous photos online and start yet another NPO friendship. It’s one of the best parts of being a geek – the people parts.
